ABOUT ME

I put ketchup on my quesadillas when salsa isn't available. I'm a huge fan of raspberries.  I always sneeze in twos. I am the adoptive mother of a large, orange boy-cat. When I’m alone I sing off-key, just because I can. I dance like no one’s watching, even when people are 100% watching. I want to fill my passport before it expires. I take my tea with nothing in it, steeped all day so that it’s cold and exceedingly strong when I come home and drink it. I'm working on learning a second language, but I can never fully commit to which one on DuoLingo. Sock puppets freak me out. I think the music of the 50's is the bee's knees. I love analyzing films, especially films that don't make sense. I’m allergic to sparkling grape juice. I wore Converse to prom and didn't regret skipping the heels for a second. I prefer Papermate pens over pretty much any other brand. I put a waffle iron on my most recent Christmas list. When I'm stressed, I reorganize my bookshelves. I hope to make a positive impact on the world through my teaching.

Theater

Theater became a huge part of my life in high school and will definitely always be one of my favorite things. I have been active in nearly all aspects of theater, spending countless hours working behind sound boards, in costume closets, on stage, and even in the director's chair. I plan to keep this up at St. Mary's.

Religious Studies

The other half of my college degree is in Religious Studies. As a born and raised Catholic, I am thrilled to be able to teach at a school that allows me to actively practice my faith. However, I am always interested in learning about and understanding other religious perspectives and worldviews. Leading and attending retreats helps me keep this interest alive even after receiving my degree.
